This competition has shown that it is becoming important among choreographers. Each Contest is a hope to see future reformers of the world and the Russian ballet scene. However, in 2013, no fascinating and original work was presented. Therefore, the Jury decided not to award the first prize and the gold medal. The second prize and the silver medal went to Oleg Gabyshev (Russia) for his facetious choreography Macho and Sloth. The third prize and the bronze medal were awarded to Marina Akelkina (Russia) for her performances Chimera and Loveless and to Dmitry Zalessky (Belarus) for his composition Game. It was also decided to award diplomas, accomplishment buttons, and incentive prizes to four Russian participants: Ksenia Oiventhal, Vladimir Varnava, Alexander Runt, and Emil Faski.
During the Contest, a press center, creative meetings, workshops, masterclasses, and exhibitions were held. Four press conferences were organized, at which the Jury and the press expressed their views on the achievements of the choreographic arts presented in the competition and summarized the results.
The XII International Competition of Ballet Dancers and Choreographers ended up on June 19 at the Bolshoi Theatre Historic stage with an Award Ceremony and Gala Concert of the winners. It was broadcasted by the channel Russia-K.
