Applications are open for the XIV International ballet competition
Applications are open for the XIV International ballet competition on 22 December 2021. The competition will be held between 3 and 11 June 2022 in Moscow in the State academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.
Being one of the most authoritative ballet contestants of the world, the International ballet competition has a state status and plays a significant role in contemporary ballet art development. The overall quantity of participants for the past thirty competitions is 1 368 people from 35 countries of the world.
The creative head of the competitions is the People’s Artist of the USSR, the President of the International Union of Choreographers, the ballet-master of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, the professor Yuri Nikolaevich Grigorovich.
The competition takes place every four years. The previous, the XIII, competition was in 2017. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the XIV competition was postponed to 2022.

The founders of the competition are the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation and supported by the International Federation of ballet competitions. The organizer of the XIV International ballet competition is the FGBUK ROSCONCERT.
