The names of the contestants and the jury of the XIV International Ballet Competition in Moscow have been announced
343 applications from 33 countries of the world were submitted to the competition this year. According to the results of the qualifying round based on the video recordings 112 dancers from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Austria, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Mexico, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia will be competing. Contestants will traditionally compete in two age categories – the juniors (under 18) and the seniors (under 27).
Svetlana Zakharova, a prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, a member of the jury: “There are many ballet competitions in the world, but the Moscow competition stands apart, I associate it with something incredibly significant, powerful, great, because the participants are honored to dance at the Bolshoi theater. And this stage, as you know, requires a completely different output than others. To perform here you need to be prepared not only physically, but also morally..”
The skill of the contestants will be assessed by the eminent jury, which includes famous figures of the world ballet art:

The founder of the competition is the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The Organizer – the Federal State-financed Cultural Institution ROSCONCERT.
Online broadcasts of all the phases of the XIV International Ballet Competition will be held with the support of the largest Russian social network VKontakte.
