Media Accreditation Opens for the XV Moscow International Ballet Competition
The XV Moscow International Ballet Competition will take place from 25 June to 5 July 2026 in Moscow, on the stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. This year’s Competition will be dedicated to Yuri Grigorovich, People’s Artist of the USSR and one of the outstanding choreographers of our time.
Contestants will compete in two age categories: junior, for dancers up to 19 years of age, and senior, for dancers up to 27. This year, the Competition received 362 applications from 35 countries, including Austria, Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, China, Russia, the United States, Turkey, Sweden and Japan.
The dancers’ artistry will be assessed by a distinguished jury comprising leading figures in choreographic art from Russia, Belarus, Brazil, Hungary, Kazakhstan, China, Cuba, the Republic of Korea, Serbia, Turkey and South Africa. The Jury will be chaired by People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zakharova.
To apply for accreditation for Competition events, please send a request on your organisation’s official letterhead to pr@bolshoi.ru and include the following information:
– full name, media outlet and contact details;
– the list of events you plan to attend;
– for film crews, a list of equipment.
Accreditation requests will be accepted until 19 June.
Please note that photographer accreditation for the Opening Ceremony and the Laureates’ Gala Concert is limited. Photographs from the events will be made available promptly upon request to the Competition Press Office and will also be published on the official website.
