A Special Project, Birth of a Supernova, Launches Ahead of the XV International Ballet Competition

This unique project has been created specially for the Competition. Its series of short films will feature laureates of the International Ballet Competition from different years who have gone on to distinguished careers. Renowned figures in choreography, outstanding teachers and rising stars of the stage will share the stories of their artistic journeys and reflect on the decisive role the Competition has played in their lives.

Audiences will see more than interviews: they will encounter sincere and profound reflections on the profession, the continuity of generations and the magic of ballet.

The special project will serve as an inspiring prologue to the XV International Ballet Competition in Moscow, recalling the rich legacy that the Competition seeks to preserve and carry forward.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and organized by ROSCONCERT.
